Theme: All About the Garden

May 3rd-7th, Gardening, flowers, and mothers: We will be discussing all the different types of flowers, how they grow and how to maintain and create a garden. We will also talk about Mother’s Day that is approaching. We will talk about how important moms are to us and all the hard work it takes to be a parent.

May 10th-14th, Fruits, vegetables, and nutrition: This week we will discuss fruits and vegetables that can be grown in a garden along with flowers. We will also talk about our bodies; what’s inside them and how to keep them strong and healthy.

May 17th-21st, Creepy crawly bugs: This week we will be discussing bugs that fly, bugs that crawl, bugs that have millions of legs and so on. We will go on bug hunts and see what we can catch!!!

May 24th-28th, Slippery, slimy, crawlers: We will discuss and learn all about animals that slither, bugs that are slimy, and which ones love and are good for a garden. We will get down in the dirt to spot these creepy friends!!!

· Thursday, May 6th is National Prayer Day!! We will be celebrating National Prayer Day at Premier Academy by gathering together to sing the song “This Little Light of Mine.” We will also be starting a prayer box in our classroom that the children will decorate. If you would like to send in a prayer request for your child or with your child, simply write it down on a piece of paper and place it in our prayer box. When the prayer is answered, take it out and you may send in another one if you wish, God Bless!!
